Téa Leoni Parents: Meet Anthony Pantaleoni, Emily Patterson

Téa Leoni is an actress from the United States. She is the daughter of Anthony Pantaleoni and Emily Patterson.

Her mother Emily Ann was a dietitian and nutritionist, and her father, Anthony Pantaleoni, was a corporate lawyer at Fulbright & Jaworski.

Her paternal grandfather was of Italian, English, and Irish descent, and he was the nephew of Maffeo Pantaleoni, an Italian economist and politician.

Helenka Adamowska Pantaleoni, an American silent film actress and humanitarian, was Leoni’s paternal grandmother. Leoni’s mother is an Amarillo native and the niece of actor Hank Patterson.

Leoni discovered in a 2017 episode of Finding Your Roots, hosted by Henry Louis Gates Jr., that her adopted mother Emily is the biological daughter of Mavis Abilene Gindratt from Vick, Louisiana, and Sumpter James Daniel, whose ancestors originated in Ireland and had a plantation in Fairfax County, seven miles from George Washington.

Florry Elizabeth (née Roberts) and Virgil Pearson Patterson were her mother’s adoptive parents.
