Franklin Gore Sr. is an American football running back.
Frank Gore was born on May 14, 1983 Miami, Florida.
Frank Gore played college football at Miami and was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft. During his 10 seasons with the 49ers, Frank Gore became the franchise’s rushing yards leader and received five Pro Bowl selections. Frank Gore also led the National Football Conference (NFC) in rushing yards during the 2006 season and made one Super Bowl appearance in Super Bowl XLVII.
After leaving San Francisco in 2014, Frank Gore played for the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and New York Jets.
In 2020, Frank Gore was named to the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team.
Frank Gore’s son, Frank Gore Jr. followed in his father’s footsteps and plays running back for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.
Frank Gore Jr. was born on March 2002 in Miami, Florida. Frank Gore Jr. attended Miami Killian Senior High School there, playing as both a quarterback and a running back. As a rusher, Gore Jr. compiled 1,111 yards and thirteen touchdowns on 113 carries in his senior year.
