Jake Virtanen allegedly assaulted a 23-year-old sexually. The incident took place in 2017.
As accused by a woman named “M.S”, the hockey forward took her to a hotel room and used his “body weight and superior strength” to sexually assault her. It happened in Vancouver.
The woman accused him of sexual misconduct back in May 2021. After analysis, the British Columbia Prosecution Service has charged the former NHL star with sexual misconduct.
Virtanen currently faces one count of sexual assault.
